Woman with the World's Longest Tongue Terrifies Audiences

A 34-Year-Old Californian

For more than a decade, American Chanel Tapper has held the Guinness World Record for the world's longest female tongue, measuring 3.8 inches (about 9.6 centimeters), but she still marvels and laughs at people's reactions whenever she reveals this amazing muscular talent.

In a recent interview with Guinness, the 34-year-old Californian said she enjoys seeing people's reactions, which often range from astonishment to screams and sometimes even horror.

She added with a smile, "Honestly, my favorite reaction is when people scream... I love that moment because it's dramatic and funny at the same time."

Taber explained that she doesn't just show off her tongue; she's also developed a series of "acrobatic moves" using it, using which she can pick up spoons, remove wooden Jenga pieces, and flip cups in a way that has astounded followers and helped her gain popularity across social media.

It's worth noting that in 2010, Guinness World Records invited her to an event in Los Angeles to officially measure her tongue. There, she won the world title, beating two close competitors. Despite the passage of 15 years, no one has yet been able to break her record.

According to a study conducted by the Department of Dentistry at the University of Edinburgh, the average length of a woman's tongue is approximately 3.1 inches, while that of a man is only 3.3 inches, making Chanel's tongue far beyond the average.

Remarkably, the title of "World's Longest Female Tongue" not only brought her fame, but also opened many doors for her, including appearing in a major advertising campaign for a famous fashion brand, in addition to participating in events around the world and meeting other record holders.

Tapper said, "The best thing about it is that I get to travel and meet amazing people who also hold records. This experience has allowed me to see places I never dreamed of before."
