6 Important Tips for Dealing with Spring Allergies
Many of us suffer from fatigue and dizziness caused by what is known as "spring allergies," which may be due to invisible effects on the brain.
Pollen allergies are one of the most prominent health problems of the spring season, with symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, a stuffy nose, and coughing.
However, these symptoms can lead to brain fog, causing mood swings, headaches, and dizziness.
Dealing with Spring Allergies
Dr. Mariana Castells, an allergist at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard University, explained that allergies can affect sleep and cause fatigue and dizziness, making it difficult to concentrate, according to the Times of India website.
When pollen enters the body, the immune system begins to release chemicals such as histamine, which affects tissues and leads to allergy symptoms.
However, there are 5 tips to prevent spring allergies that can be followed:
1- Close the Windows
The first step is to close the windows, whether in your home or car.
2- Stay indoors
Also, avoid going out during the early morning or late afternoon when pollen levels are highest.
3- Change clothes and shower
After leaving the house, it's best to shower and change your clothes.
4- Use air purifiers
Using air purifiers is also effective, especially since they reduce pollen levels.
5- Sunglasses
They can help protect your eyes from pollen, while a hat can help prevent pollen from getting into your hair.
6- Antihistamines
Finally, antihistamines can help relieve symptoms, but it's recommended to consult a doctor before using them.
