Acupuncture specialist reveals a trick to combat stress
In order to combat daily pressures, the importance of relaxation techniques has increased, which contribute to relieving stress and achieving psychological comfort. One of the most prominent of these techniques is pressure on specific areas in the ear.
In a report published by the New York Post, it highlighted the benefits of this technique, through a previous video published by Chinese physical therapist Dr. Eileen Lee, via her account on TikTok, which is followed by about 700,000 people.
Steps to apply the trick
Lee used a giant model of the ear to explain the steps to apply this trick, and explained that stress can be relieved by stimulating a specific point in the ear, using a cotton swab designated for cleaning the ears.
She explained that many practitioners of this technique consider the ear's focal point, known as the "gateway to the soul", to be the most capable of providing calm and relaxation.
Accordingly, you can use the tip of a cotton swab designated for cleaning the ears, and place it in this point (known as the cave), and move it in a circular motion 20 to 30 times.
Finger massage
If a cotton swab is not available, the movement can be applied with the thumb and index finger, which are placed at the "top" point of the "spirit gate", and massaged in a gentle circular motion.
The American newspaper commented on the video, saying: "This method, although it is not a substitute for acupuncture or specialized medical treatments, provides a natural way to manage stress and improve the quality of sleep at home."
