Liverpool's Salah replacement is an Egyptian player
Marmoush shines with the German club
Liverpool FC has placed Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush, a player for Eintracht Frankfurt, among its options to support the team next season, amid reports that Mohamed Salah, the team's star, is playing his last season with the team.
Salah has previously stated that the current season may be his last with Liverpool, noting that the club has not spoken to him about the renewal issue, as his contract expires at the end of the current season and he has the right to sign for any club for free next January.
Liverpool Negotiates with Marmoush
Florian Plettenberg, a journalist for Sky Sport, said on his account on the "X" platform: Omar Marmoush is on Liverpool's list of interests and may enter into negotiations to include him in the coming period, and the German team is closely monitoring his situation.
He added: Eintracht Frankfurt wants to extend his contract early for one year until 2028 without setting any penalty clause. The German club's top priority is to keep its 25-year-old player in the upcoming winter transfer market.
Marmoush shines with Eintracht Frankfurt
Marmoush scored two goals and made a goal with Frankfurt in a 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich on Sunday in the German League, contributing to his team's third place in the standings, one point behind the top.
The Egyptian winger, who had a fluctuating career with his transfers to Wolfsburg, Schalke and St. Pauli before his brilliance with Frankfurt, contributed to 12 goals by scoring 8 and making 4, during 6 matches in the league this Season.
In contrast, his compatriot Salah has contributed to Liverpool by scoring a goal in all of Liverpool's matches in the English Premier League this season, except for the Nottingham Forest match, which his team lost last month, and the Crystal Palace match, which the "Reds" won with a goal by Diogo Jota.
