Warning of a dangerous skin disease spreading among young people
Dermatologists warn of a dangerous skin disease that has recently been observed through dealing with different cases in their clinics.
Doctors explain that the disease currently spreading is syphilis, whose symptoms appeared in a young man aged 16 years, and it was discovered that he was infected by the maid in his house.
Doctors explained that the form of the disease comes in a different form that may come in a way that makes it difficult to diagnose as syphilis, stressing that the disease is transmitted through sexual contact or blood transfusion from an infected person to another person, or tools contaminated with the patient's blood, and it is also transmitted from the mother to the fetus.
They added: "Syphilis can be transmitted through skin contact only, but this is very unlikely, but it is possible and occurs, but in general the microbe itself is weak and is only transmitted through sexual contact."
Doctors continued that general immunity has become weak, and that the frequent use of some medications has weakened individuals' immunity, making them more susceptible to the disease being transmitted to them than before, as happened and has begun to appear recently.
