Le Pen attacks Mbappe: You have no right to speak!

On the eve of the France-Portugal match, Les Bleus captain Kylian Mbappe said in a press conference that there is an "urgent need to vote" tomorrow, Sunday, after the "catastrophic results" of the first round of legislative elections, which saw the National Rally (far-right) party come in first place.

However, this statement did not please Marine Le Pen, leader of the right-wing National Rally party, who strongly criticized it and angered her and her party members.

Le Pen believed that the French were tired of being lectured and given advice on how to vote, adding that Mbappe does not represent the French of immigrant origin, because many of them live on the minimum wage and cannot afford housing and heating, compared to people like Mbappe, in an interview with CNN.

"These trends of actors, footballers and singers to come out and tell the French people how to vote, especially people who earn 1,300-1,400 euros a month, while they are millionaires, even billionaires living abroad, are beginning to be badly received in our country," she said.

She stressed that these people are fortunate to live comfortably, protected from insecurity, poverty, unemployment and everything that French citizens suffer from.

Le Pen concluded by saying: "These elections are liberation elections, a way for the French people to regain control of their destiny and vote as they see fit."
