Ronaldo fulfills the dream of a Syrian child with a serious illness

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo fulfilled the greatest wish of a 4-year-old Syrian child suffering from a terminal illness, as he met him before his country's important match against Slovenia in the round of 16 of the 2024 European Cup held in Germany, which ended with Portugal qualifying for the round of 16 on penalties.

Ronaldo fulfills the dream of a Syrian child

The German newspaper "Bild" revealed that Ronaldo, 39, fulfilled the dream of a Syrian child named Awar, who suffers from a malignant tumor, and wanted to meet his Portuguese star at any opportunity, before that happened in Frankfurt.

When the Portuguese team arrived at the match stadium, the famous striker welcomed the boy before heading to the locker room to prepare for the important confrontation and promised him and his family a longer meeting after the end of the match, which is what the player who scored the most in international matches did.

The report added: The story goes back to when a doctor in the palliative care team at Giessen University Hospital spoke on the radio last week and revealed that Awar is from a Syrian refugee family and that he dreams of meeting Ronaldo.

Awar and his family have been living in Wetzlar since October 2023, after they left Syria in the hope of getting medical help, but Awar's tumors have spread throughout his body and left him unable to speak.
