Video: A bomb exploded in a Russian officer's car in Moscow
A car exploded north of the Russian capital on Wednesday, injuring two people, according to Moscow's emergency services.
In detail, a Toyota Land Cruiser exploded near a residential building on Sinya Vinskaya Street in northern Moscow after two people, a man and a woman, got into it.
The official spokeswoman for the Ministry of Interior, Irina Volk, announced that the explosion of an unknown object caused the car to explode, according to the TASS agency.
It was also found that the explosive device was placed under the driver's seat.
For its part, law enforcement agencies stated that the car that was blown up belonged to an army officer named Andrei Turgashov and his wife.

According to one version, the explosion of the car bomb was related to the official work of its owner.
Local media also reported that the officer's condition was critical, and that his wife was injured by shrapnel in the face.
A criminal case has been opened into the bombing incident under the provisions of attempted murder (Articles 30 and 105 of the Russian Criminal Code) and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition (Article 222 of the Russian Criminal Code). The Moscow Prosecutor General's Office is monitoring the progress and results of the criminal investigation.
