Kamala Harris confronts Trump with a "coconut tree"
The Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, received a great deal of interaction from the younger generation of the United States on social media, after announcing her candidacy for the presidency, instead of the current President Joe Biden.
This enthusiasm from young voters represents a stark contrast to last week, when the Democratic ticket was losing support from this group, as polls showed that they were dissatisfied with Biden.
But with Biden stepping aside, the game has changed radically, as Republican candidate Donald Trump is now the greatest presidential candidate in history, giving Harris the opportunity to present herself as a candidate more in touch with young Americans.
For its part, Harris' presidential campaign has embraced this change, garnering tens of millions of views by creating content similar to the content of the millennial generation, which is prevalent on platforms such as "Tik Tok".
Among the terms that spread for Kamala was that of the "coconut tree", when she said "Do you think you fell from a coconut tree?", in a speech to Trump, indicating that he ignores the past and previous actions, as if he fell from a tree.
The phrase "coconut tree" became a symbol for Harris' supporters, a symbol that went well with the young generation of America.
Many TikTok users also compared the Vice President to dramatic characters in Hollywood, who embodied a vice president in a series, and showed her secret celebrations of entering the presidential race.
Harris also has many clips of her dancing cheerfully with groups of young people, which brings her closer to acceptance, to Donald Trump, and to the current President Joe Biden.
As the competition for the presidency heats up in America, Harris seems to be outperforming Trump in the young age group, and it is clear that her team will build on this advantage, to get closer to the "TikTok generation".
