A horrific fire devoured several clothing stores in the city of Banha, affiliated with Qalyubia Governorate, northern Egypt, resulting in millions in losses without any injuries or deaths.

The Egyptian authorities received a report of a fire breaking out in several clothing stores in front of Banha Public Parking in Qalyubia, and immediately 8 fire engines were dispatched to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas.

The Public Prosecution ordered the delegation of the forensic laboratory to determine the cause of the fire, assess the losses, and form a committee from Banha City Council to find out the details and circumstances.

The Governor of Qalyubia directed the formation of a committee from the General Administration of Civil Protection and Social Solidarity and the City Council to investigate the causes of the fire, and directed that appropriate compensation be provided to the owners of the shops affected by the fire, after assessing the losses.

The governor stressed the need to identify all similar exhibitions in the governorate, ensure that they comply with safety and security requirements, and take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
