Despite its benefits.. Aloe Vera is not suitable for everyone

There is no doubt that the aloe vera plant has amazing benefits, as dermatologists and skin care experts recommend using it topically.

Although specialists confirm that the plant is generally safe for the skin, it may not be so for everyone, according to the American newspaper "Washington Post".

Aloe Vera is not suitable for everyone

The Food and Drug Administration has made it clear that it has banned the use of aloe vera without a prescription to improve the skin.

Lacey Gill, assistant director of the Institute of Beauty and Massage in Houston, revealed that aloe vera is good for one person, but this is not necessarily good for another.

The report confirmed that aloe vera is a succulent plant native to Africa and the peninsula and consists of 96% water.

Studies have found more than 75 compounds, including sugars, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and seven essential amino acids, in the remaining 4% of aloe vera, in addition to its anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antiseptic effects.

Research has also confirmed that many of the benefits stem from the sugars found in the clear gel inside aloe vera leaves.

However, there has been a lack of rigorous clinical trials to confirm the exact mechanism behind aloe vera’s effects, said Oliver Grundmann, a professor of medicinal chemistry at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

That’s partly because aloe vera gel formulations don’t require FDA approval and are sold as cosmetics, Grundmann said.

Store-bought aloe vera gel lacks standardization, Dr. Leffel said.

Social media is awash with videos about how to use aloe vera and its benefits, including moisturizing, soothing sunburns, treating acne, reducing scars and lightening skin.

Aloe vera has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, but people have recently made a comeback to its use in a big way.
