Israel: Eilat port has completely stopped work

The CEO of the Israeli port of Eilat revealed that work has completely stopped at the port and that a large number of workers have been laid off due to the ongoing crisis in the Red Sea.

Eilat Port Completely Halted

The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" quoted the CEO of the port of Eilat as saying that work has completely stopped at the port because ships are unable to pass in any direction to reach the port located in southern Israel.

The CEO of the port said that a large number of workers have been laid off due to the ongoing crisis in the Red Sea.

The CEO of the port of Eilat confirmed that the port's operations have been transferred to the ports of Ashdod and Haifa, indicating that the port's losses will continue if Israel does not take measures to prevent this with the coalition countries.

This comes as Houthi attacks continue on ships crossing the Red Sea and heading to and from the port of Eilat and the rest of Israel's ports.

The Houthis did not stop there, but rather directed strikes at the city of Eilat, located on the Gulf of Aqaba.

On Sunday, the Houthis announced that they had bombed the city of Eilat with ballistic missiles, while the Israeli army said that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen and was heading towards Eilat. The Houthis are threatening to continue to strike Israeli ships or ships heading to Israeli ports unless the aggression on Gaza is stopped.
