Former Real Madrid star learns a new profession in prison
Former Brazilian star Robinho seeks to learn a new profession behind bars, where he is serving a nine-year prison sentence.
The former Real Madrid player is serving nine years in a Brazilian prison on rape charges.
The British newspaper "The Sun" said that Robinho, 40 years old, is receiving a training course in electronics inside the prison.
It added: "The millionaire, whose net worth is estimated at 60 million pounds, is learning how to repair televisions, radios and other household electrical appliances."
This is part of a work program proposed by the prison administration, which aims to teach inmates new skills in preparation for their future release.
Robinho's lawyer, Mario Russo Val, said that the former player has been "a model prisoner since his imprisonment last March."
He continued: "Robinho deals with the matter with humility and calm, he is an ideal prisoner and has no problems with other prisoners."
