According to local media, civil defense personnel set up a large security cordon after the fire that broke out in a multi-storey residential building in the heart of the Manama market spread to neighboring buildings and shops.
The victims of the Kuwait fire rise
Earlier, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior confirmed that the death toll from a fire in a building in the Mangaf area, south of Kuwait, has risen to 49 deaths, and dozens of injuries, some of them in critical condition.
