Saudi Arabia announces the number of guests of God for Hajj 1445

The General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that the total number of guests of God for Hajj 1445 AH reached (1,833,164) pilgrims, including (1,611,310) pilgrims who came from outside the Kingdom through various ports, while the number of domestic pilgrims reached (221,854) pilgrims from citizens and residents.

The Authority indicated in its statistical results for Hajj 1445 that the number of male pilgrims out of the total number of domestic and foreign pilgrims reached (958,137) pilgrims, while the number of female pilgrims out of the total number of domestic and foreign pilgrims reached (875,027) pilgrims.

Regarding the statistics of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, the Authority explained that the percentage of pilgrims coming from Arab countries amounted to (22.3 percent), while pilgrims from Asian countries excluding Arab countries amounted to (63.3 percent), while the percentage of pilgrims from African countries excluding Arab countries amounted to (11.3 percent), while the percentage of pilgrims from European, American, Australian and other unclassified countries amounted to (3.2 percent).

As for the methods of arrival of pilgrims from outside the Kingdom, (1,546,345) pilgrims arrived via air ports, while (60,251) pilgrims arrived via land ports, while (4,714) pilgrims arrived via sea ports.

It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Statistics relied on administrative records data in issuing the statistical data and indicators for the Hajj season of 1445 AH / 2024 AD, considering it the main source of data.

The data includes all the records of the government and private entities concerned with serving the guests of God, as the administrative records of these entities are relied upon to provide Hajj data according to a unified model that includes a number of elements, as an extension of the statistical approach followed in the past three years.
