The US security services have offered a reward of five million dollars on the head of the most dangerous woman in the world, who has become the number one wanted woman in the universe.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation officials had previously offered a reward of only $100,000 for information on the woman believed to be the mastermind of "one of the largest global fraud schemes in history", but they recently raised this reward to $5 million.

According to the details published by the British newspaper "Metro", the woman is called the "lost crypto queen", as she is involved in giant fraud operations on holders of encrypted digital currencies, which made her "the most dangerous woman in the world".

Bulgarian-born Ruja Ignatova, a German citizen, is accused of running one of the largest cryptocurrency scams ever, defrauding investors of $4 billion by selling a fake cryptocurrency called OneCoin in 2014.

The 43-year-old disappeared without a trace in 2017 and has been on the FBI’s most wanted list since 2022.

“Ignatova is believed to travel with armed guards and/or companions,” the FBI wrote in its information about her alongside her photo. “Ignatova may have undergone plastic surgery or otherwise altered her appearance,” the agency added.

The FBI believes she may have used a German passport to travel to countries including Russia, Greece and Eastern Europe, but there is also speculation that she may have been killed by the Bulgarian mafia, who are suspected of masterminding the OneCoin scam. Ignatova was last seen on a Ryanair flight from Sofia to Athens on October 25, 2017, after fleeing an apartment owned by her American boyfriend when she learned he was cooperating with the FBI, the report says.
