Barcelona bans shirt swapping.. Why?

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that Barcelona club banned the players of the women's team from exchanging shirts during matches, due to the economic crisis that the Catalan club is suffering from.

According to the newspaper "Marca", the Chivas Guadalajara women's team was surprised by the Barcelona players' refusal to request to exchange shirts after the end of the match, on Friday. The Catalan club team won all three matches in the friendly tournament in Mexico that was played during the pre-season period, against Club America and Tigres, but the closing ceremony was marred by disappointment for the Mexican Chivas Guadalajara players, not because of the defeat, but because they were unable to exchange shirts with the Champions League champions.

After the end of the match, the Chivas Guadalajara team went to the Catalan club players to exchange shirts, as is customary, but Barcelona's stars apologized.

The newspaper added: The reason why the champions of the league, cup, Super Cup and Champions League cannot exchange shirts with their rivals is that they have a very limited number of kits, and this is not the first time that Barcelona players have faced this situation.

The Barcelona women's team, despite being a champion team, suffers from a series of restrictions resulting from the austerity measures implemented by the institution, which affect all departments and administrations.
