British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was exposed to an "embarrassing" situation by the Italian Prime Minister, after a video spread during the G7 summit held in Italy.
Upon his arrival at the summit, Sunak greeted Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni "warmly", but the moments that followed the kiss of greeting were "embarrassing", according to activists on social media.
Sunak appeared to be kissing Meloni, who stepped back more than once, which indicated a "state of rejection" based on the body language of the leader of the right in Italy.

The Guardian newspaper described the situation as embarrassing for Sunak, who was exposed to "apparent rejection" from Meloni, his close ally in Europe.
Activists mocked Sunak on the X platform: "Sunak looks like he went for an additional kiss but Meloni moved away.. There is a strong energy of rejection in the shot."
Another wrote: "A very embarrassing situation. Meloni rejects Sunak's kiss."
Many commented on Sunak's desire to kiss Meloni, while the latter refused.
On the other hand, the agreement is expected to be reached when the heads of state, including US President Joe Biden, hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to what US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan confirmed.
