Gabi Agbonlaho: Salah is living his last days with Liverpool |
Gabi Agbonlahor, the former England and Aston Villa player, believes that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is living his last days with his team and that the separation of the two parties next summer has become “inevitable.”
Salah is linked to Liverpool with a contract that extends until mid-2025, and it was the talk of the last days of the last summer transfer period in which his name was linked with Al-Ittihad Jeddah in the Saudi Roshan League, before he remained in the ranks of his team after the transfer period closed.
Will Salah leave Liverpool?
Agbonlahor told Football Insider on Thursday: Mohamed Salah will leave next summer. I am absolutely sure of this. His coach Jurgen Klopp will not be satisfied with that decision, but his departure has become inevitable.
He added: When next summer comes, he will have one year remaining on his contract, and Liverpool has enough time to find a replacement who is younger than the Egyptian star.
Klopp clings to Salah
He concluded: Klopp does not want to lose Salah, but what is certain is that the owners will give him enough money to find a suitable replacement.
The Egyptian star became the fifth top scorer in Liverpool's history this season, after surpassing Steven Gerrard (186 goals) by a difference of ten goals so far, and 32 goals separate him from Billy Liddell, the fourth top scorer in history.
