Wounded and dead crowd the corridors of Gaza's hospitals
A tragedy that is repeated daily and hourly
As Israel carried out more ground incursions and its tanks approached the vicinity of the Al-Shifa Complex, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, in addition to its siege of the hospital square in the center of Gaza City, which includes “Al-Rantisi, Al-Nasr, Al-Oyoun, and Mental Health as well,” it bombed the courtyard of Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical complex in the Strip.

Horrific scenes from the scene showed dozens of bodies piled up, as well as the wounded, in the corridors and courtyard of the complex.
While the World Health Organization confirmed that the hospital was bombed. The organization's spokeswoman, Margaret Harris, said on Friday that "Al-Shifa" was being bombed, adding that 20 hospitals in the Strip were now out of service.
The wounded die
In turn, the director of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Muhammad Abu Salamiya, confirmed that the Israeli bombing in the vicinity of the hospital is still continuing in a major way, and described the situation as very bad in light of the hundreds of wounded people accumulating inside the hospital’s corridors.
He added, "Some of the wounded are dying and we cannot provide services to them. The health situation is very difficult in light of the exhaustion of all medical consumables and medicines." He continued, "From dawn until the moment, the hospital was targeted with four raids in its courtyard, in the maternity hospital, and in the outpatient clinic, resulting in a number of victims and wounded," according to what was reported by the Arab World News Agency.
Difficulty in evacuations
He also considered that "what is happening serves as warnings to evacuate the hospital and put it out of service, and thus the entire health system in Gaza Governorate and its north will be out of service, which will lead to the death of the largest number of wounded and sick people."
He added, "The hospital cannot be evacuated of the wounded and sick. We will remain in the intensive care, premature infants, and operations departments."
Earlier, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said today that Israeli tanks are surrounding Al-Rantisi, Al-Nasr, Al-Oyoun, and Mental Health Hospitals from all directions.
He also warned that thousands of patients, medical staff, and displaced people are trapped inside hospitals, without water and food, and are at risk of death at any moment.
Shooting at displaced people
While eyewitnesses confirmed that Israeli forces opened fire on displaced people who tried to leave the besieged Al-Nasr Hospital in Gaza City.
Other witnesses said earlier that Israeli tanks were surrounding four hospitals in Gaza, including Al-Nasr Hospital, and that there was heavy shooting.
Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinians continued to flee today, fleeing Israeli tank fire in the city center.
The footage showed poignant scenes of thousands marching on foot, sometimes waving white flags and sometimes raising their hands.
