Symptoms of stroke
The German Stroke Association said that a stroke occurs when a blood clot blocks a blood vessel in the brain, and then parts of the brain are not supplied with enough oxygen.
The association explained that the symptoms of a stroke are as follows:
Symptoms of stroke
1- Severe headache.
2- Dizziness and nausea.
3- Vision disorders “such as double vision, deterioration of spatial vision, and thus the inability to orient.”
4- Speech disorders, such as broken sentences and unclear, incomprehensible speech.
5- Manifestations of numbness and paralysis, especially on one side. The face, hands, and arms are usually affected, with the corner of the mouth drooping.
The association stressed the necessity of calling an ambulance immediately upon noticing these symptoms, given that with every minute that passes before treatment, the risk of permanent damage increases.
